George Clooney’s mind has been damaged

At one time I thought George Clooney was a zero, an empty suit with a charming smile that appealed to the ladies, but I don’t think that way anymore. He’s got some acting chops, takes some risks with his movies, and he’s willing to put his name on a small project if that’s what it takes for it to be made. Clooney’s politics are also progressive, which doesn’t mean he’s not above having some fun either, like in is Ocean movies.

With all that said, I think A.J. Jacobs, who did an otherwise funny and creative interview with Clooney for Esquire, should be given the Abu Ghraib treatment for the poor judgment that made him introduce Clooney to”2 girls 1 cup”. Mr. Jacobs, who probably thinks of himself as quite clever, showed Clooney the most horrible video that’s gotten wide recognition on the Web. If you know what I’m talking about, the video has seared your mind like a steak on a grill.

That’s what Jacobs did to Clooney: he seared his mind. And if we see any drop-off in the career Mr. Clooney I’ll argue it’s a direct result from watching 2 girls 1 cup, and for that Jacobs can not be forgiven.
